It is the position of The
Heartland Progressive that the Impeachment of George W. Bush should be
raised to the level of a National Priority. George W. Bush has
disgraced the image of America in the eyes of the world.
Through his repeated and
blatant violations of the "rule of law", and the Constitution, he has
put our Liberty and our very Democracy at grave risk. George W
Bush is personally responsible for the needless deaths of uncounted 10's
of thousands of people in Iraq and the greater Middle East. He has
cost nearly 3000 of our Sons and Daughters, serving in the military,
their lives. He has put us, our children, and our grandchildren
deeply in debt. It will take generations to pay off the trillion
dollars or more that this ill-conceived, illegal, and immoral "War of
choice" that he has waged, not in our name, but in the name of corporate
profiteering and oil.
IT IS A MORAL IMPERATIVE THAT
HE BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE !

I'm sure that at your high society Texas tea parties, things must be just marvelous darling! But in the real world things are not marvelous at all. Nearly 3,000 US Soldiers, Marines, Seamen and Airmen have been violently and brutally killed in Iraq. Your husband doesn't like to count dead Iraqi's but we all know that that number exceeds half a million.
The media didn't kill these people; your husband's immoral and illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq killed them. This morning on MSNBC you had the audacity to suggest that the reason your husband's poll numbers were so low is because the media only reports the bad news and never covers the good news. First of all, that talking point is really getting moldy, time to get a new one, and secondly, it simply is not true.
Iraq is an absoloute and disgraceful example of the worst that humanity has to offer. Of course, there is a lot of media coverage of the devastation and slaughter that is going on there, but that is because it is NEWS!
The most recent poll puts your hubby's approval rate for his handling of the war at 19%, I don't know who those 19 percent are, I can't believe that there are 19% of Americans that still believe in his policy, whatever it might be, but I'm certain that you do. A word of advice, honey... get away from them as fast as you can...
