Tonight on the floor of the House of Representatives we saw the death of the Constitution. The Constitution is the only thing that we have that validates America as the greatest example of Democracy in the known history of our world. This man on the right, Pete Hoekstra, was the House manager for passage of the Terrorist Surveillance Act, a fancy title to cover up its true intent. The bill passed, about a dozen Democratic Congressmen sold out their country and only about 8 or 9 Republicans defended theirs. The Congress of the United States just authorized George W. Bush to violate the 4th Amendment. The reason that sounds so strange is that there is no clause in the Constitution that allows the Legislative Branch to authorize the Executive Branch to violate The Constitution. The 4th amendment guarantees the people that the government may not search you (wiretap) without a warrant. The House just told Bush..."well nevermind that, just go ahead and do it anyway". What type of a country will we leave to our progeny if we do not stop this trip down the road to fascism? I'm begging everyone to go to the polls and toss these criminals out on their asses on Nov 7, while we still have a country! |
