KIETH OLBERMANN;
"The best anchor on the best cable news program on the air today !"

MSNBC weeknights at 8pm Eastern.  Keith gives balance to the corporate right slanted news programming of MSNBC and Fox News.

It is the position of The Heartland Progressive that the Impeachment of George W. Bush should be raised to the level of a National Priority.  George W. Bush has disgraced the image of America in the eyes of the world.

Through his repeated and blatant violations of the "rule of law", and the Constitution, he has put our Liberty and our very Democracy at grave risk.  George W Bush is personally responsible for the needless deaths of uncounted 10's of thousands of people in Iraq and the greater Middle East.  He has cost nearly 3000 of our Sons and Daughters, serving in the military, their lives.  He has put us, our children, and our grandchildren deeply in debt.  It will take generations to pay off the trillion dollars or more that this ill-conceived, illegal, and immoral "War of choice" that he has waged, not in our name, but in the name of corporate profiteering and oil.

IT IS A MORAL IMPERATIVE THAT HE BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE !

It's Time for Bush to go
If you haven't seen George W. Bush's press conference today you should. This guy is out of touch with reality and into a dangerous , I don't care what anybody thinks or says I know and I'm going to do whatever I choose to do. I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist but I believe I saw some psychological imbalance in his speech today. Paranoid Schizophrenia; again I'm not qualified to make a diagnosis but I have been on the planet more than 50 years and in my unqualified judgment that's what it looked like to me. You'll have to judge for yourself, see the news conference.

I'm looking for a link to a video of the conference and when I find it I'll post a link here. Scary stuff...

Some Observations:

  • Bush Approval rating has been mired in the mid 30's for quite a while now;
  • Iraq is a nightmare an absolute disaster;
  • A Federal Judge has just ruled that Bush violated the law and the Constitution;
  • The polls seem to suggest that The Republicans could lose one or both houses of congress;
  • The American people are unifying against the War in Iraq;
  • Tony Blair has let leak that he is very disappointed in Bush;
  • Condoleeza Rice has let leak that she is not happy with the direction of foreign policy;
  • Not just Democrats but old time Republicans are losing faith by the bushel barrel;
  • Bush is becomming more and more isolated as Congressman and Senators try to distance themselves from Bush policies
  • Administration officials are less willing to face reporters and try to defend Bush policy and so he is doing it himself;
  • Bush appears to be spiralling down into a deep dark depression and when you parse some of his public comments, they seem to suggest paranoia (my unqualified opinion)

All of these things and many more would create a huge amount of stress on any psyche and I believe they are taking a big toll on Bush. In my opinion he is on the verge of a meltdown and I sure don't think he should be in the White House if or when it does happen.
